At Frith Manor school we have two school councils. The First School Council is for pupils in Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3. The Second School Council is for pupils in years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Yes Year 3 are on both Councils and act as go-betweens.
Each class in the school elect two representatives to attend school council, one girl and one boy. School council happens about once every month. An agenda is set for the topic of discussion and the class and the teacher discuss the issue and the representatives give the class view, as well as their own, to the Council meeting which are then discussed.
Minutes are kept and shared with the class, other staff and the Governing Body.
